If you’re having building or renovation works carried out on your home, the chances are you’ll need some scaffolding. For example, you may be having your fascias painted, double glazing installed, or an extension built. At SWP Scaffolding, we know that carrying out any works can be daunting, especially when you need to have scaffold placed around your home as part of it.
Because of this, we aim to ensure the experience is as stress-free as possible for you. We’ll give you advice and explain what we’re doing as simply and clearly as possible, ensuring we don’t use meaningless industry jargon. We’re also approachable, meaning if you have any questions or concerns, you’re always more than welcome to contact us to discuss them.
So whether you require scaffolding for a temporary roof, a scaffold tower, scaffold around a chimney stack or something else, we will always endeavour to accommodate your needs. No domestic job is too big or too small for us. From quotation to completion, our aim is to offer you the highest standards of service and workmanship. Please feel free to contact us today for a no-obligation quote or to discuss your requirements further.
Certain types of buildings require a more sympathetic approach when it comes to scaffolding. Examples of these might be listed buildings, buildings with other conservation requirements, bridges over rivers and other water courses, and confined spaces. At SWP Scaffolding, we are very experienced in working successfully on these more difficult and technical scaffold projects. We are also fully trained to work within confined space regulations.
As part of our professional service, we are happy to offer scaffolding advice to all our commercial and domestic clients. Whether you want to know the right kind of scaffold for a certain project, or would like us to assess whether it will be possible to access a hard-to-reach area via scaffolding, please don’t hesitate to contact us for advice.
We can also advise you about the practical and legal aspects if your scaffolding needs to sit on a public right of way, such as a pavement. We’re also happy to visit your premises to assess your needs in more detail and provide you with a free, no-obligation quote.
Once you’ve chosen us as your scaffolder, we can also provide you with advice about what will happen and the things you need to think about when your scaffolding is in situ. We know our clients value this service.
Scaffolding risk assessments and method statements
If you’re carrying out work at height, or have contracted a company to carry out work at height for you, you’re legally required to assess the risks involved in this. We at SWP Scaffolding can carry out these risk assessments for you, using our 20+ years’ experience in the industry and respected qualifications to make sure the work is carried out safely. We can assess the risks involved in your project, make recommendations for precautions to be taken, and review this assessment on an ongoing basis as necessary.
You may also find it useful to have a method statement. This is a record of the hazards that have been identified, the risk these present to people involved in the work, and the precautions that must be taken to minimise these risks. We can also provide you with method statements, helping you ensure that work at height is properly planned, well supervised and carried out in a safe manner.
